The city has accounted for almost 85 percent of tourist arrivals to the Cordillera Region since the region's inception. It is a highly urbanized city with a 99% literacy rate. It is 250 kilometers from Manila and is accessible by land for about five to six hours. The city is best known for its strawberries and Halayang ube (Good Shepherd), as well as its delicious and fresh fruits on top. (Source:http://www.baguio.gov.ph)
The date was April 30 to May 03, 2009, and that was my first out of town after two years of employment. I come to travel to the City of Pines with my office mates. We got a house there for free, that's why we really did enjoy our stay. It was summer but the weather was cold and humid, making me wear my jacket all the time..
This is our way to our free Pension accommodation...I am with my good friend Mesh and her lovely "pamangkin".
This is our first stop at Baguio Botanical Garden... It seems that I was so happy during my first trip..
I am with my office mates and families and friends.
Then we proceed to Wright Park, where in "The Mansion" is located
Looks like, I smell like a flower, the butterflies all sting to me...
We opt to go to the headquarters of the Philippine military Academy.. Yipeee!!
Igorota beauties :)
That's it !!! My first ever travel. I was so happy that time, and can't stop my self for buying pasalubong for my family. The vegetables and fruits were so fresh. I wish I could go back here, next time I am aiming for Panagbenga Festival. : )
